Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. Sep 02, Ali Cross rated it really liked it Shelves: The thing I loved the most about this book rzshelle the villain. RaShelle Workman has created a very unique plot line. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Michael was such a loving character, so believable.

There wasn’t enough development in the characters, and there wasn’t enough Zaren for my liking. To prove her innocence, Venus needs to return to Kelaria, but first, she needs to fulfill a mission- Make Michael fall in love.

I’m still thinking about it, all these hours later, and I would definitely recommend it to any and all readers. The problem is, is that she needs to do all this within a week because the earths’ are is killing her as well being that she didn’t complete her journey and is not an immortal yet. I really enjoyed it and about to start the next book I need to see what happens next.

What was the point behind the whole scene? No eBook available Amazon.

All in all, fabulous read! Gifting of the Kindle edition at the Kindle MatchBook price is not available. I may be exaggerating that but I felt like she felt that I didn’t like her character that much, and Michael’s felt On the other, it’s quite confusing and had me scratching my head at times trying to work out what was going on.

Discover Prime Book Box for Kids. The characters were all good in their own way. First problem I had with the book was the narrating style, it was bit unconnected.

Consistency did not exist here. I am excited to read the next installation and feel connected to the characters. Hopefully it’s a good one Both Venus and Michael, despite much of the story being told in their voices, stayed pretty flat. Read, highlight, and take notes, across web, tablet, and phone. Cheverley seemed cool at first. But, what didn’t fit was the totally unnecessary brutal torture, mutilation and dismemberment of women and children by teenagers.

We start off with Venus and her 16th birthday, where in Kelari you receive a task which you must complete to become immortal. What are your favorite fictional love stories? Someday I will have a pair of my own! The last main character in the book is Michael. Why her gods care about a human falling in love, Venus has no idea, but she does know that she will not survive more than a week on Earth with its air poisoning her lungs.

The stereotypical high school elements were nauseating. I couldn’t put it down! Not at all a Sci-fi type of book but more of a really good paranormal love story No trivia or quizzes yet.

I was more disappointed than anything. I really loved the Greek myth spin!

Exiled: Book 1, Immortal Essence Series – RaShelle Workman – Google Books

Everything about him sucks, and yet he’s this constant. Zaren proceeds to fill Venus in on what happened – that she has been exiled for crimes she did not commit, her family is in hiding, and she needs to help a human fall in love – but no one knows who the true traitors are.

Up front I must admit that I approached this book with hesitancy. I’m really loving this series and I can’t wait to see what happens in the second book.

All of the details about Kelari and Kelarians were amazing! By the middle of the book I was so enraptured by the story that I kept saying to myself, “just one more chapter” until I realised that I finished the book! A real page turner.
